The strain was fed with glycerol and p-coumarate, ferulate and caffeate for the synthesis of p-coumaroyl glycerol (a), feruloyl glycerol (b) and caffeoyl glycerol (c), respectively. Structures corresponding to 2-O-hydroxycinnamoyl-glycerides are represented as previously determined [11].
