From: Dynamic control of ERG9 expression for improved amorpha-4,11-diene production in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Growth profile (A) and amorpha-4,11-diene production (B) in engineered strains. Strains M4-D1 ~ D4 with ERG9 under the control of different ergosterol-responsive promoters were transformed with plasmid pRS415ADS for producing amorpha-4,11-diene. Here, strain M4-D1 ~ D4 are derived from strain M4-2nd with ERG9 under the control of P ERG1 , P ERG11 , P ERG2 and P ERG3 , respectively. Strain M4-2nd with plasmid pRS415ADS was used as control. Strains were cultivated in 250 mL flasks supplemented with 25 mL SC-LEU media. The amorpha-4,11-diene production in engineered strains was measured using GC-FID after 48 h and 96 h of cultivation. Values represented the average and standard deviation of three independent experiments.
