Analysis of the in vivo role of Lppα and Lppβ in TAG accumulation. (A) Total lipid extracts from cultures of the indicated S. coelicolor strains grown on SMM medium during 20, 24 and 30 h, were analyzed on silica gel TLC plates and developed in hexane:diethylether:acetic acid (70:30:1, v/v/v). (B) Quantification of TAG content of S. coelicolor strains overexpressing the indicated scoLPPs. Stars mean significant differences respect to empty plasmid control strain (p < 0.05).
