Pre- and main cultures conducted within the same FlowerPlate®. 12 precultures (red) of C. glutamicum were inoculated in the outer columns of the cultivation MTP as shown in the inlay plot. Upon a backscatter trigger of 5.5 a.u., three times 20 \(\upmu\)L of each preculture was used to inoculate the respective main cultures (blue). The 36 main cultures were individually sampled at a backscatter of 5.5 a.u
