Effect of SB1, ATP, Ca2+ and H2O2 on hypocrellin A (HA) production of Shiraia sp. S9. The SB1 and ATP treatments were the same as specified in Fig. 7. H2O2 at 1 mM and Ca2+ (CaCl2) at 2 g/L were added on day 6. The dosages of La3+, vitamin C (Vc) and reactive blue (RB) were the same as specified in Figs. 5 and 6. The culture was maintained in 150-mL flask containing 50 mL of the liquid medium at 150 rpm and 28 °C for 8 days. Values are mean ± SD from three independent experiments (*p < 0.05 and **p < 0.01 vs. control, #p < 0.05 and ##p < 0.01 vs. SB1 treatment)
