Growth and product formation of Kp ΔtpiA-ΔDHAK-hdpA in fed batch fermentation. Cells were grown in a stirred tank bioreactor operated at aeration rate of 2 L/min. In the first 6 h the culture pH and stirring rate were set at 7.0 and 450 rpm. After 6 h the culture pH and stirring rate were set at 6.0 and 150 rpm. Glucose was fed at 26 and 49 h of cultivation.
