Role of glycoconjugate in biofilm formation included different steps. Carbohydrate, lipids and protein unite together and form glycoconjugate; a adsorption: attachment of carbohydrates and proteins to the surface of substrate; b immobilization of microbial cells on the surface of glycoconjugate. c consolidation: secretion of extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) by immobilized microbial cells on the cell surface; d colonization: microbial cells replicate and secreted large amount of glycoconjugates and forms biofilm which play role in bioremediation of OPs
