Roseoflavin production by different strains of Streptomyces davaonensis in liquid media. Roseoflavin (solid lines) and intracellular soluble protein (dotted lines) contents were measured from culture samples of the parental strain WT (grey squares) and the recombinant strain RML7 (black squares). For each bacterial culture, 5 × 106 spores were used as an inoculum for 300 ml flasks containing 50 ml of yeast starch (YS) medium. The cultures were aerobically incubated at 30 °C for 14 days. Each data point represents the average ± SD from cultivations carried out in triplicates
