Effect of adipic acid on µmax of C. glutamicum DSM 20300 (a), C. glutamicum ZW04 (b) and E. coli K12 MG1655 (c). The results are expressed as relative µmax, corrected for the effect of osmotic pressure, to the µmax of cells grown without adipic acid.
