Construction of recombinant B. subtilis 1A747 strain. (a) The plasmid pDM035 containing resistance genes of chloramphenicol and spectinomycin were double digested with XhoI and XbaI. (b) The fusion fragment of the P43–sunI–P glv –sunA–P luxS –two homologous arms with XhoI and SacI was inserted into the vector pDM035 by displacing β–galactosidase gene to yield pDM036 (c). (d) The pDM036 was digested and linearized with BamHI. (e) The linearized pDM036 was inserted into the prophage SPβ genome of B. subtilis 1A747. (f) The recombinant B. subtilis 1A747 strain was generated.
