Fermentation profiles for the control without the addition of NA (â– ) and with the addition of NA (â–²) in a 5-L fermenter with MuA15. The concentrations of glucose (A), DCW (B), acetoin (C), 2,3-butanediol (D), and ethanol (E), and the intracellular NADH/NAD+ ratio (F) were measured and shown. The values were the mean derived from three independent biological experiments, and error bars indicated the standard deviations.
