Deletion of mRNA binding proteins alters lifespan under different growth conditions. Genes were deleted from haploid wine yeast C9. A) The CLS experiments in laboratory medium SC. Viability after three days in SC is taken as 100% survival. Aliquots of each culture were taken, diluted, plated and counted over time. B) The CLS plots during the grape juice fermentation of the same deletion strains. Other conditions as in Figure 1C. Production of ethanol (C), acetic acid (D) and glycerol (E) in the vinifications described in Panel (B).
