Bioconversion of drugs ibuprofen methylester and flurbiprofen methylester with E. coli BL21 (DE3) cells carrying pCYP110E1-Red. (%) indicates yield. The result with E. coli BL21 cells carrying plasmid pUCRED-Balk that expressed the P450balk gene (CYP153A13a) from an alkane-assimilating marine bacterium Alcanivorax borkumensis[13] is also shown for comparison.
