A single colony of E. coli pACY-‘tesA was inoculated to 3 mL M9 minimal medium supplemented with glucose (20 g L⁻¹) as primary carbon source and 34 μg mL⁻¹ chloramphenicol and cultured at 37°C for 12 h. One percent (v/v) inocula was added aseptically to 3 mL M9 minimal medium supplemented with glucose (20 g L⁻¹) as primary carbon source, various concentrations of TBP and 34 μg mL⁻¹ chloramphenicol, and was cultivated at 37°C and 180 rpm for 12 h. Values and error bars represent the mean and S.d of triplicate experiments.
