Interleukin-8 mRNA response of human Caco-2 cells to 1.5 h stimulation with various compounds. Cells were stimulated with LGG LTA, mLTA1 and mLTA2 (10 μg/ml) (panel A) or with live LGG WT or the dltD mutant strain (panel B) for 1.5 hours. DMEM medium served as a negative control. Bacteria were administered at 107 CFUs per ml. The results shown are representative for at least three independent experiments.
