Examples of different FOSs profiles obtained from cultivation of a representative yeast strain in two-fold diluted crude FOSs extracted from red onions at 30 °C for 72 and 96 h. Profiles have been categorized into four groups based on their ability for sugar consumption. A Group 1: Pichia manshurica A2.2 could apparently consume only glucose and fructose.
