GALDH activity for L-galL from the crude extracts of Δ gaaB , Δ gaaB - Mg Δ gaaB - Eg - Mg ( PgpdA ), Δ gaaB - Eg - Mg ( PgaaA/C ) and Δ gaaB - Smp30 - Mg cultured in minimal medium supplemented with D-galUA and D-xylose for 20 h.
