Early growth of B. subtilis RIK1285 producing small laccases with different concentrations of copper. The optical density of B. subtilis RIK1285 expressing a) ScLac, b) SvLac, c) ScLac ∆SP and d) AmLac was measured at 600 nm every hour for nine hours with CuSO4 concentrations ranging from 0 to 100 µM. The copper had no detrimental effect on the growth of B. subtilis that expressed and secreted small laccases. The results were the average of three biological replicates
