The expression of Sc Lac without signal sequence. (a) Schematic presentation of ScLac gene with native signal sequence and ScLac ∆SP without native signal sequence. (b) Secretion of ScLac∆SP. The spores were cultivated in the growth media containing 100 µM of CuSO4. The samples were taken at defined time points, medium and cells were separated by centrifugation and activity was measured spectrophotometrically. The wet cell weight (WCW) was measured to follow bacterial growth. After 24 h no cell growth was observed.
