Garvicin Q adsorption assay in the presence of protease inhibitors. Activity of garvicin Q (GarQ, red lines) in following incubation with C. glutamicum ATCC13032 (A; Cgl, blue lines) or L. innocua LMG2785 (B; Lin, blue lines) was tested with (solid lines) or without (broken lines) presence of a protease inhibitor cocktail with 1 mM EDTA (PI). Activity was tested by measuring optical density (OD600) after incubation of the indicator strain L. lactis IL1403 with serial twofold dilutions of supernatants of adsorption assays (ASN) with the indicated treatment combinations.
