Growth screening of ten different organisms. The growth of these organisms was investigated using ulvan-derived monosaccharides (rhamnose, xylose, glucuronic acid), ulvan and ulvan hydrolysate B (UHB) which was generated with F. agariphila enzymes recombinantly expressed in E. coli (see Additional file 1: Table S1, Reisky et al.
