Sites of action of the different types of β(1,3)-d-glucan hydrolase enzymes in the β(1,3)-d-glucan chain. Exo-β(1,3)-d-glucanases cleave the terminal linkage releasing single glucose units form the non-reducing end of the β(1,3)-d-glucan chain. Endo-β(1,3)-d-glucanases cleave the internal linkages between glucose units along the β(1,3)-d-glucan chain releasing short oligosaccharides
