Comparison of muconic acid fermentation performance in the sequentially constructed strains from T18HAA1 up to TN6-1. YP2%D2%X0.5%E medium was used, buffered with 50 mM citrate buffer at an initial pH of 5.5. Strains were inoculated at OD600 of 4. Yield represents milligram of muconic acid produced per gram of initial carbon (glucose, xylose and ethanol), by the respective strains with corresponding genomic alterations indicated. Results are means of two biological replicates. Error bars show standard deviation at each time point
