Effect of the ammonium formate concentration on whole-cell biocatalytic activity. The concentration of E. coli pET-21b-MBP-laad/pET-28a-dapdh-fdh wet cells was 75 mg/mL, the concentration of NADP+ was 5 mM, and the concentration of l-Phe was 50 mM. All reactions were carried out in Tris-HCl buffer (50 mM, pH 9.0) at 30 °C and 220 rpm for 6 h. The values were averaged from triplicate measurements
