Expression of MtrF-Celstrep (MtrF-Cs) fusion proteins. Square frames indicate the size of the respective labeled proteins. Part a displays the concentrated supernatant and b the periplasmic fraction. Uncoupled cellulase can be barely found in the supernatant but there is a high amount of cellulase detected in the periplasm. The fusion proteins with the cellulase fused to the N-terminus can both be found in the supernatant and the periplasm. Full length fusion proteins with the cellulase attached to the C-terminus are barely detectable in the supernatant
