Thiol transferase and reductase activity of MstX proteins as a function of MSH concentration. Thiol transferase and reductase activity of MstX proteins were measured with MSH concentration varying in the range 0–20 mM and saturated concentration of substrates (100 mM HED and DHA, or 50 mM MS-MEN). The Michaelis–Menten plots of MstX activity versus HED (a), DHA (b), and MS-MEN (c) were calculated using the program GraphPad Prism 5. The data were represented as mean ± SD of three independent experiments
