Roseoflavin production of Streptomyces davaonensis strains on solid growth media (mannitol soya flour, MS). In contrast to the parental strain WT (wild-type), an extended area of a red, water-soluble pigment is observed around colonies of the recombinant strain RML7, suggesting that roseoflavin overproduction had occurred. An inoculum of 105 spores per MS agar plate was used and the plates were aerobically incubated for 10 days at 30 °C
