Project workflow. DNA from ATII Red Sea brine pool Lower Convective Layer (LCL) was earlier isolated and a fosmid library was constructed containing 10,656 clones [33]. An anti-bacterial overlay assay was conducted to functionally screen for antibiotic activity. Clones that exhibited zones of inhibition were further sequenced and annotated. This was followed by extraction of whole cell lysates to assess cell viability against different cell lines
