Quantification of the heterologous expression of actinorhodin gene cluster in S. albus J1074 and derivative engineered strains. Synergistic effects of crpSC overexpression and pfkSA deletion on the actinorhodin production were observed. S. albus+ermE*crpSC increases the actinorhodin production by 1.6-fold and the double engineered S. albus Δpfk+ermE*crpSC strain by 2-fold relative to the S. albus J1074 (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01.).
