From: Production of (S)-2-aminobutyric acid and (S)-2-aminobutanol in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

a Intracellular l-threonine concentrations in yeasts expressing HOM3-R2. Yeasts, either engineered for (S)-2-aminobutyric acid production (BsILVaĀ +Ā EcGDHā), or non-engineered yeasts, were transformed with a 2µ plasmid harboring the sequence encoding for mutated HOM3 (HOM3-R2) or they were transformed with an empty plasmid (wt). Intracellular l-threonine concentrations were analyzed as described in āMethodsā. Diamonds indicate OD600 after 24Ā h of growth (all data: mean ± SD, nĀ =Ā 3). b Intracellular (S)-2-aminobutyric acid concentrations in yeasts expressing HOM3-R2.
