  1. Reaction conditions: 0.5 g wet cells, 250 g/L glucose, 100 g/L of ethyl 4-chloro-3-oxobutanoate (COBE) in 5 mL potassium phosphate buffer (0.1 mol/L, pH 6.5) and 5 mL organic solvent, in 30 °C shaker for 2 h
