^aThe concentrations from PaxDb [25] were the integrated concentration data from several proteomics studies. The protein concentrations cited here were recalculated to convert the unit from ppm to μM. The average volume of E. coli was set at 0.6 μm³ [30] and the average number of proteins in E. coli was set at 2.5 × 10⁶ [20].
