Production of SO2 (A) and acetaldehyde (B) by the parental strains (JN10 and JN17, respectively) and the hybrid (JN10/JN17). Values are the mean of five biological replicates for SO2 production by parental strains and three biological replicates for SO2 production by the hybrid. Two independent biological replicates were carried out to assess acetaldehyde production by the hybrid and parental strains.
