Inulin fermentation results of different wild-type yeast strains. Biomass (dry cell weight, gray), ethanol production (grid), inulinase activity (diagonal) and invertase activity (blank) were measured when S. cerevisiae strains BY4741, NCYC625 and L610 were cultured using inulin as a carbon source for 48 h. Error bars represent standard deviations from the mean of three biological samples.
