(B) Fusion of the target proteins with the N-terminal 20 residues of Cel-CD (N20). Samples were collected after 24 h induction and separated on 15% SDS-PAGE. (C) Quantitative comparison of extracellular proteins using different fusions. The dark gray column represents the Cel-CD fusion, whereas the light grey column represents the N20 fusion. Aliquots corresponding to 20 μL of the culture medium were loaded onto the gel. Molecular size markers are shown in kDa. The quantification of Cel-CD was performed by Bio-Rad Quantity One Version 4.2.1.
