Whole cell biotransformation of geraniol by P. putida DSM 12264 wildtype strain. Indicated are the concentrations of produced geranic acid at different time points by whole cell biotransformation of geraniol by P. putida DSM 12264 wildtype. Different amounts of geraniol were added to growing cells in E2 medium (containing 10% LB and 30 mg/L kanamycin, 4.6 g/L glycerol) and geranic acid concentration was quantified after 8, 16, 32, 38 and 64 h. For 2, 4 and 8 mM geraniol, respectively, the last sample was taken after 32 h due to complete geraniol depletion and maximum product concentration. Experiments were run in triplicates.
