From: An agmatine-inducible system for the expression of recombinant proteins in Enterococcus faecalis
Susceptibility of E. faecalis V583 to agmatine. E. faecalis cultures were grown in liquid GM17 supplemented with 0 mM, 20 mM, 40 mM or 60 mM agmatine. After 24 h of incubation, serial dilutions of the suspension were prepared and immediately plated to determine the number of viable bacteria (cfu/ml). The number of bacteria observed was within the range of 30 to 300 cfu per plate. Error bars represent standard deviation of three independent experiments.
