Impaired growth on L-rhamnose of the N. crassa transcription factor NCU9033 knockout mutant. Wild type (FGSC 2489) and ΔNCU9033 (FGSC 11390) strains were grown on Vogel's minimal media (with 55 mM of sucrose or L-rhamnose as the sole carbon sources) slant tubes at 30°C for 5 days and then at room temperature for 3 days (daylight) to analyze hyphae production and pigmentation. Equal numbers of conidia (3000) were inoculated.
