Growth of HPR2 and wild type B. longum NCC2705 in bioreactors under CO ₂ atmosphere, with and without addition of H ₂ O ₂ . Cells were cultivated under CO₂ atmosphere and with or without addition of 42 ppm H₂O₂ in mid-exponential growth phase corresponding to an OD of 0.6. Growth was monitored using optical density at 600 nm. Data are means of three replicates ± standard deviation.
