PI factor production is reduced in the mutant. Detection was carried out after 36 h and 48 h of growth at 250 rpm and 30°C in YEME medium. Red bars indicate production by the wild type strain, blue bars the production by the ΔpimT strain. Pure PI factor was used as standard. Data are the average of three flasks.
