Engineered H3675 based Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains were tested for glycolic acid production on different carbon sources in shake flask cultivations on SC media: A) d-glucose (20 g l-1), B) d-xylose (20 g l-1) + EtOH (20 g l-1), C) EtOH. There was no glycolic acid production detected in the parent strain H3675. During the cultivation the pH dropped from pH 5.5 to pH 2.9-3.2.
