Schematic presentation of the Fab expression construct. The Fab fragment is arranged as a bicistronic unit with the light chain (VLCL) and heavy chain (VHCH) in different reading frames. Each chain is equipped with pelB signal sequence in the N-terminus and the heavy chain is fused with C-terminal hexahistidine tag (6xHis). Ptac: tac promoter, SD: Shine-Dalgarno ribosome binding site.
