From: Enhanced membrane protein expression by engineering increased intracellular membrane production
Expression analysis of seven other membrane proteins in the wild type and Δpah1 strain. Membrane protein expression, under control of the POX2 promoter for induction on oleic acid, was performed for 24 hours and 10 μg of total membrane proteins was analysed by western blot. For all seven membrane proteins tested, a moderate to strong enhancement of protein yield was observed.
