DHA production by different E. coli strains harboring the plasmid pTrc99A-gldA-nox. Cells were induced by IPTG for 20 h at 30°C, and collected for biotransformation experiments in 5 mL of reaction buffer with 20 g/L glycerol in 50-mL test tubes at 37°C, 200 rpm for 10 h.
