Comparisons of the relative differences in productivity caused by different compositions of the gas phase inside the bioreactor. The values are dimensionless as they are calculated based on relative peak area against an internal standard. Twelve target compounds are grouped into three major groups according to their relative peak areas. These results clearly show that generally accepted standard conditions, marked with a red box (pO2 20%, CO2 0.2–0.3%), are far away from optimal for any of the investigated compounds. The grey box indicates yields obtained with the method described in this study.
