  1. The engineered strains are cultured in an M9 medium containing glucose 15 g/L. Each batch cultivation was done at least in triplicate, and the standard deviations are shown. Different letter codes (a and b) indicate significant differences (a, P = 0.0664; b, P = 0.00226). The code ‘ND’ indicated that something was not detected in our HPLC analysis.
