Comparative analysis of metal ion activation for pol β of Danio rerio and rat. Dependence on the Mg2+ (A) or Mn2+ (B) concentration of the pol β activity of Danio rerio(closed lozenge) and rat (open circle) were assayed in 0-30 mM Mg2+ and 0-5 mM Mn2+. Comparison of the activity of D. rerio and rat pol β by Mg2+ and Mn2+ was performed at 1 mM MgCl 2 and at 0.5 mM MnCl 2 (C). The activity measured by the amount of incorporated dTTP. Each activity was normalized by the activity of rat pol β in the presence of Mg2+.
