The significantly expressed genes based on the effect of type of sugar added (maltose versus glucose) are represented by square. The significantly expressed genes based on the effect of enzyme added (enzyme versus non-enzyme supplementation) are represented by triangle. Shapes coloured in red represent the up-regulated genes and shapes coloured in green represent the down-regulated genes for the respective studied effect. Blue circle represents significantly expressed genes of the interaction effect (sugar*enzyme).
